Walk & Talk With Me
Walking Therapy is a great opportunity to combine counselling, nature and exercise.
If you enjoy being outdoors, walking therapy may be a great chance to explore some difficult aspects of your life in an environment that is preferable to you.
If you are interested in the possibility of walking therapy there are a few things you may need to consider:
We would need to ensure we comply with government guidelines in relation to COVID 19 i.e. keeping 2 metres apart where possible and ensuring we follow the hygiene advice.
You would need to consider your health and level of fitness and whether you are able to safely engage in walking therapy. The walking would be at a speed comfortable for you and there are benches in the park which we could sit on.
You would also need to consider how you will travel to the park and the risk involved in this.
Sessions may need to be rearranged due to poor weather conditions or could be interrupted due to a sudden change in the weather. If the weather is unsuitable we could agree to have the session online to avoid any disruptions.
There is a small possibility that either of us could bump into someone we know or be overheard by others passing by, which could impact on confidentiality.
I provide outdoor counselling sessions in Florence Park, for further information regarding the park please refer to the link: https://www.oxford.gov.uk/directory_record/362/florence_park
If you would like to walk and talk I would be happy to accompany you on your journey.
